This short work for English Horn & Piano was written over a few days in the summer of 2009. I conceived of this initially as a short relaxing "mood" piece, as evidenced by the opening. As work progressed, the alternating sections became more animated and insistent, providing a contrast to the lyrical sounds of the opening melodies.
